LILO Desserts Launch in Burger King New Zealand Restaurants

LILO Desserts have launched their new cheesecake made with 100% strawberry in Burger King restaurants throughout New Zealand this week.
LILO’s collaboration with Burger King New Zealand marks another major milestone in the dessert company’s ambitious growth plan, which includes expanding to Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) in Asia Pacific, and builds on its success working with international airlines.
“We are really excited to launch LILO Desserts into Burger King restaurants this week, with our New Zealand Strawberry Cheesecake offering their customers a quintessentially-Kiwi dessert experience. We’ve been long-standing fans of Burger King, so the opportunity to feature our fruit-forward, creamy dessert on their menu throughout the country feels like a big win,” said LILO Desserts Co-founder, Russell Haines.
LILO Desserts Co-founder, Alex Worker says the partnership is another rung on LILO’s ladder as the company sees huge potential in the QSR and foodservice market, particularly where there is an appetite for a high-quality, homegrown New Zealand dessert.
“Partnering with hospitality leaders is a key pillar in our expansion plans, as we are actively growing LILO’s network of distributors, foodservice, and retail partners. So, working with a major player like Burger King New Zealand, who has 77 restaurants throughout the country, enables us to reach a wider market of dessert-lovers and provides another platform to showcase LILO’s high-value desserts. It also serves as a proof of concept that we can explore with Burger King in other parts of the world.”
Worker adds that just as burgers and cheesecakes are a perfect pairing, the LILO-Burger King New Zealand collaboration has also been a natural match. “We’ve really enjoyed the open and creative working relationship with the Burger King NZ team. We share similar NZ-centred food stories, which includes evoking a nostalgic, Kiwi dining experience,” said Worker.

Haines adds, “I have fond memories of enjoying Burger King with my mates growing up, so it’s a full-circle moment to see our desserts being served in one of New Zealand’s favourite burger spots.”
